HÅG Seating, a Norwegian brand under the Flokk Group, is renowned for its high-quality ergonomic office seating, blending Scandinavian aesthetics with innovative design. Founded in 1943 in Røros, Norway, HÅG has become a global leader in furniture design and sustainability, emphasizing “active sitting” to enhance health and well-being. The brand’s journey from a small company to a European leader is marked by design innovation, starting with steel tubing furniture and evolving in the 1960s towards human-centered design. A significant breakthrough came in 1979 with the first commercially available chair featuring a center-tilt mechanism, promoting natural posture changes. In 1984, HÅG introduced the iconic Capisco chair, designed by Peter Opsvik, inspired by a horse rider’s posture. In 2007, HÅG merged with other Scandinavian brands to form Scandinavian Business Seating, later rebranded as Flokk in 2017.
